Abstract Engine Inc. is a creative agency that provides comprehensive services from strategy planning to content creation and experience design, taking the challenges faced by corporations, municipalities, and government bodies as starting points.
We create new systems and experiences and implement them in society.
Our company name is derived from the term abstract machine, a universal, non-axiomatic concept discussed by Foucault, Deleuze, and Guattari. It is a system without a fixed structure, existing as a “force” that creates new relationships between all elements.
The propulsive energy created by these philosophers and that permeated the world has since subsided. In our modern era, we believe we should function as an engine – instead of a machine – that drives society. We will further advance empirical experiments and social implementation under the name of Abstract Engine.
Abstract Engine’s structure enables the creation of innovative force in society. Iterating between ideation and practice, we identify challenges, plan and produce creative outcomes, and implement experiences.
Working with clients starting from the phase of research and concept building, we integrate diverse creative outputs such as on-screen, physical, and other forms of content. We transform vision into reality, and design projects that create new cycles within society.

Rhizomatiks
Rhizomatiks is a creative collective that explores new possibilities in technology and creative expression. With a strong focus on research and development, we work on experimental projects and create artworks through exciting collaborations with artists, creators, researchers, and scientists. We take on diverse projects, including artworks and installations, research and development of new representational techniques and media, and exploration of new forms of creative expression that cross social, cultural, and technological boundaries.
Flowplateaux
Flowplateaux is a design collective that works across multiple domains, from on-screen to physical content, and explores new forms of creativity by collaborating with clients. We take an integrated approach to visual, informational, and physical elements, and approach various media forms such as graphics, UI, spatial design, and signage holistically to steadily and flexibly expand the possibilities of creative expression and experience. We guide each project toward its optimal output with flexibility and certainty.
Panoramatiks
Panoramatiks is a design collective that values creative action and collaborates with industry, government, and academia on diverse projects, including regional design, urban development, and art. We tackle the challenges faced by cities, governments, and businesses by harnessing the power of design and stepping beyond conventional frameworks of design and execution at every stage, from research and ideation to planning and implementation. Using culture and economy as twin engines, and through consistent actions rooted in philosophy and with cross-disciplinary cocreation, we steer society towards a better path.
