ELAN MITSUA Project

The Elan Mitsua project, an AI VTuber initiative themed around “Art made with Everyone,” was launched in December 2022.
In 2023, the team began developing an opt-in image generation AI model, leading to the start of the Mitsua Likes project, designed to address rights-related concerns surrounding AI training. With the support of many contributors providing images and other resources, the project has continued to evolve.
In December 2024, Mitsua Likes became the first project by a Japanese company to be certified by Fairly Trained, a U.S.-based nonprofit organization that promotes ethical AI training practices. The certification recognizes that the model does not use copyrighted materials within their protection period without permission at the foundational model level. (As of December 2024)Today, anyone can generate images using Mitsua Likes, and you can follow Elan Mitsua’s activities on X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube.
